2 wonderful watercolors by the listed artist Leonard Reedy. Both are signed by the artist in the lower right corner of the image. Images are of course Western and are fine examples of the artists work. The first image is a hunting scene and it is nice and bright with no fading. It does however show a bit of damage just under the Ram image. See photos. Small but there. This piece measures framed 15" by 18". The image showing measures 7 3/4" by 10 3/4". The second image is one of Reedy's Western roundup pieces. It is in very good condition with just a bit of fading. Framed it measures 14 1/2" by 17 1/2". The image showing measures 7 3/4" by 10 3/4". It also is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. 2 fine examples of the artist Western images he is so famous for. Reedy is listed in Davenport's Art Reference, Dawdy, Samuels and Who's Who. Biography from Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery Santa Fe Tucson: Leonard Reedy was born in Chicago in 1899. As a child he developed an aptitude for drawing, attempting to reproduce the style and subject matter of Frederic Remington, the dominant western illustrator of the first half of the twentieth century. Leonard Reedy filled the margins of his school books with drawings and, when he was old enough, enrolled in the Chicago Institute and Academy of Fine Arts. Leonard Reedy lived in a variety of locales in the forests of the Midwest, the mountains of the West and the desert of the Southwest. Leonard Reedy traveled with Indian tribes and lived in timber camps, working long hours of hard manual labor, and depicted the sites of this kind of lifestyle. Known as "Chicago's Cowboy Painter," most of Leonard Reedy's public pieces reside in restaurants in the Chicagoland area, with which he traded for food. Buyer pays shipping and insurance.
