Normal 0 This is an oil painting on stretched canvas . The size is 16"x20". This is a painting that I call the "The Good ol" Boys" The colors are beautiful and if you enjoy looking at it I hope you would like to add this to your collection. The Photo does not do this painting justice. The oil has a shine that I was unable to remove, so the colors are not as bright as clean as the painting. About the Artist Joe Prater was born in 1938 in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma, of Choctaw Indian and English heritage and has been interested in art for as long as he can remember. He works in transparent watercolor and oils. . I have a great passion for nature and her beauty and try to capture this in my paintings. The sunshine, the shadows, the light and the glittering of a raindrop I find most captivating. I love it when people tell me that when they view my paintings they can smell the Rain, the leather of a saddle or the fragrance of flowers, feel the velvet of the rose-petals, and have the feeling of standing in a garden or in a barn. My work can be found in collections throughout the U.S., Canada and India. I paint western and wildlife as well as Floral. Many of my floral paintings have not been seen on e-bay yet and I do not include them on my web site. I have a large collection of prints for sale. You may contact me through ebay to get a list of the prints that I have available, and their size. See joeprater.com for my web site. Thank you for looking.
