A beautifully framed print. The frame measures over 20" x 12". This is in excellent condition and ready to hang. I cannot find another like this, and so I'm not sure if this was custom made or produced on a larger scale. The frame was crafted using rough-sawn wood and actual barbed wire. It is painted a light bluish-gray. The back (photo 5) appears to have once had something glued to the cardboard, perhaps a certificate. It is gone now, leaving only a mark from where it was removed. The word "Heroes" on the print is actually misspelled "Hero's" (photo 3). Every other one I can find has the same error, I do not know if it was ever fixed. Buyers in the Eastern time zone- please add $5 to the shipping cost. Questions welcomed.

The2FunAdGuyz offer a new print of a remarkable 1885 photograph featuring the Dodge City, Kansas Cowboy Brass Band. This photo offers a rare look at the role of music in the American West. Eighteen men with their brass instruments and drums are pictured wearing their chaps, hats and boots. Many have six shooters, either stuck in their belts or in holsters. The conductor is alledged to have directed the group using a six-shooter as a baton. That surely must have been a powerful incentive to keep the beat. A flag behind them reads: Presented Dodge City Cow-boy Band, J. Snider & Co." HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE: The band had been organized in the late 1870s. Working cowhands were the members, although some disputed that claim. The band even traveled to Washington D. C. to play in the inaugural parade for President Benjamin Harrison. Unfortunately, the band was disbanded shortly after the event. ORIGINAL MEDIA: The Genelli, Hulbert Brothers Studio in St. Louis did the original photograph that was used for this new print. DECORATING USES: This photograph will just shine in a den, library, home or commercial bar. GIFT USES: Here is the ideal gift for every collector of old west memorabilia or any collector of rare music photographs. --- PAPER QUALITY: This new print is on a highest quality, acid-free, 100-pound glossy premium text paper that allows for maximum color brilliance and fidelity for older images. This is a numbered Lithograph of John Wayne at different stages of his movie career. I bought this from the artist, at a rodeo in Oregon in 2000 or so. Doesn't go with current decor, so I am putting it up for sale for someone else to enjoy. It is a large piece about 34 X 38, looks great over the fireplace. There is no reserve for this piece, so the highest bid will be the winner and walk away with a great piece. As you can see from the pictures it is 741 of 750, the title is "The Last Cowboy" Happy Bidding.
