Up for bidding is one of two Frederic Remington Prints I purchased at a recent estate sale. This one is titled "The Fall of the Cowboy". It was issued by, The Amon Carter Museum of Western Art, in Fort Worth,TX. It is Plate XIII and copyrighted in 1986. It measures 30 1/2"X 22 3/4". This is in excellent unframed condition. There are no creases or staining. I don't see any damage to the subject area. Here's a chance to get a much larger print than some of the much smaller ones being offered by others. It is easily frameable and will make a great addition to your decor. I've sold some very nice prints in the past and never had a complaint. I try to describe it as I see it. I think you'll be pleased. Item will be shipped in a cardboard tube for safe transit. Thanks and I hope your bid wins!

Here is amazing for your rv. These are some details:

Theme: Realism
Age: 1900-1949
Type: Original Print
Sold by: Dealer or Reseller
Location: West Plains, Missouri, ZIP 65775

Up for auction is an antique print by Robert Wesley Amick and printed by The P & L Company. It comes with it's period oak frame and as found. It could use a bit of a cleaning as it is yellowed from age and you can hopefully see the full condition in the pictures. There are some creases and edge wear from being in the frame. Overall, the condition is very good, but not excellent. After doing some research on the Artist, I believe that this particular work may be one of his earlier works and I can not find another one like it. I have it listed under limited prints, however, I do not know exactly how many of them were produced. The frame is approximately, 32" in length across the top and 20.5" down. The wood is stained oak and the front is glass. There is a wire across the back for easy hanging. I will include shipping with the asking price and it will be professionally wrapped and shipped. Below, I have included some information about the Artist. I will accept Paypal only. Born in a log cabin in Canon City, Colorado, Robert Amick became an illustrator of Western subjects, painter, printmaker, commercial artist and teacher. He grew up in the Colorado cattle country during the 1880s amidst cowboys, Ute and Sioux Indians, homesteaders, and prospectors-"all the characters on the western stage " (Samuels). Amick earned a law degree from Yale University while also taking art courses. After practicing law for two years in Ohio, he became a full-time artist, taking private lessons and studying at the Art Students League. He did illustrations for "Harpers," "Scribner's," "The American," and other publications but was most comfortable with subjects from the life of his background. His western scenes of brilliantly colored landscapes with horses and riders became quite popular, and twelve of them were reproduced as prints for the public schools. He spent much of his career living near New York City in Greenwich, Connecticut where he was, according to a family member, the founder of the Art Society of Greenwich in 1927. Given the circumstances of his background, it is likely he was in Arizona before 1940, but that is not proven.

THE HORSES OF THE WORLD When I bestride him, I soar, I am a hawk: he trots the air; the earth sings when he touches it; the basest horn of his hoof is more musical than the pipe of Hermes. ~William Shakespeare, Henry V This auction is for an original 1923 1ST EDITION! of " THE HORSES OF THE WORLD" by former U.S. Cavalry officer, Major General William Harding Carter through the National Geographic Society. Whether you share a passion for equestrian life or simply enjoy the beauty and amazement of these incredible animals, YOU'LL LOVE THIS BOOK! It expands upon the development of man's other companion in various stages of life: in war, on the farm, in the marts of trade and in the field of sports. There are a total of 95 ILLUSTRATIONS, including 24 pages of wonderful color PAINTINGS by EDWARD HERBERT MINER, who has presented his popular animal artistry illustrated in numerous publications for National Geographic. The many varieties of horses from around the world are vividly and wonderfully pictured, portrayed and described like only National Geographic can accomplish! The horse (Equus ferus caballus) is a hoofed mammal, a subspecies of one of seven extant species of the family Equidae. The horse has evolved over the past 45 to 55 million years from a small multi-toed creature into the large, single-toed animal of today. There is an extensive, specialized vocabulary used to describe equine-related concepts, covering everything from anatomy to life stages, size, colors, markings, breeds, locomotion, and behavior. Horse breeds are loosely divided into three categories based on general temperament: spirited "hot bloods" with speed and endurance; "cold bloods", such as draft horses and some ponies, suitable for slow, heavy work; and "warm bloods", developed from crosses between hot bloods and cold bloods, often focusing on creating breeds for specific riding purposes, particularly in Europe. Around the world, horses play a role within human cultures. Horses were historically used in warfare. A minor section is dedicated to famous horses of great Generals. Towards the mid 20th Century, horses were used for leisure activities, sports, and working purposes. This book discusses with ease how horses and humans interact in many ways, not only in a wide variety of sport competitions and non-competitive recreational pursuits, but also in working activities including agriculture, and our personal enjoyment. Besides the horse, there are seven other species of genus equus in the equidae family. These are the ass or donkey, the Mountain Zebra, Plains Zebra, the Kiang, Grevy's Zebra, and the Kulan, including its subspecies, the Onager. The lovely colored paintings accompany the variety of these beautiful, intelligent creatures! Published in 1923, this book is in GOOD CONDITION for its age, especially to be 86 YEARS OLD! All 118 pages are present and firmly bound. The hinges are firm. The interior is neat with no markings. Enjoyable reading is easily accomplished. The illustrations are lovely -- this is a beautiful edition to add to your existing National Geographic collection series; especially if you share a passion for EQUESTRIANISM, this book is for you! GET IT WHILE YOU CAN! About the contributing author: William Giles Harding Carter (November 19, 1851–May 24, 1925) was a U.S. Cavalry officer who served during the American Civil War, Spanish-American War and World War I. He also took part in the Indian Wars seeing extensive service against the Apache and Comanche in Arizona being awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor against the Apache during the Comanche Campaign on August 30, 1881. Largely responsible for the modernization and organization of the United States Army during the early 20th century, he and Secretary of War Elihu Root are credited with the creation of the U.S. Army War College and helped pass the General Staff Act of 1903 through the United States Congress, replacing the office of commanding general with a chief of staff and a more efficient reorganizing of military staff structure. He was also an active supporter of the Militia Act of 1903 which proposed to replace the obsolete state militia system with the National Guard Bureau. A later historian and military biographer, Carter wrote several books as well as a number articles and academic papers for professional and learned journals.　 GOOD LUCK! 　 Bidding starts low so BID NOW!!! for a great deal and you might WIN!!!
